The combination of WEF’s future Skills and Inner Development Goals (IDGs) provides a comprehensive approach to employee development. Integrating these two approaches ensures that organizations have not only technically competent, but also emotionally intelligent and resilient employees capable of being effective leaders and innovators.
We know that an integrated approach to both WEF future skills and IDG qualities is essential for sustainable growth and success of your organization.
Main differences: while there is a strong correlation, there are also some differences:
WEF future skills focus more on specific technical and cognitive skills that are directly applicable in the work context with the interaction with technology.
IDG qualities emphasize broader, inner development that extends beyond the workplace to include personal well-being and interpersonal relationships.
During the co-creation sessions, we take people from the organisation with us by inspiring them about the future of work and we jointly set to work on defining your own future of work. We also determine which roles are important for the future and which skills, qualities and tasks are relevant and may be taken over by AI.
Through an online customised scan, we ask employees to provide insight into the tasks they do, how much time they spend on them, what technology they use, what future WEF skills they have, which ones they want to develop and how engaged they feel in their work and the organisation. This provides insight into the untapped potential of humans and AI, task-time distribution and engagement, measured from different perspectives.
In order to change, an organisation also needs to be future-proofed. Therefore, we survey a representative cross-section of the organisation on how committed they are to the organisation’s purpose and trust its direction. We also test the qualities based on the IDGs. These are important for growing from within and working better together on the big challenges of our time.
We create a future of work design based on insights from workshops, scans and interviews. We combine this with our own complementary expertise and experience with people, work and technology, in short, the future of work. This is how we create a unique future of work design for your organization.
